SWTOR Galactic Reputation Armor Screenshots and Guide
In game update 1.7 (February 2013) TOR gained a new feature: Galactic Reputation! Reputation is cross-faction and cross-legacy ranks gained by completing select dailies and heroics. Raising your reputation rank will gain you access to new titles, gear, mounts and pets on all your characters!
Galactic Reputation Factions
SWTOR Galactic Reputation Ranks
Every time you achieve a new reputation rank, you gain a new reward, whether its a new mount or a new title. Your rank is cross-legacy: You may gain Champion standing on your level 55, and your brand new level 1 character will have the same rank. Ranks include Outsider, Newcomer, Friend, Hero, Champion, and Legend.
Reputation can be gained by completing select dailies and then consuming items given as rewards for these quests. The amount you can consume is limited to a weekly amount. Subscribers receive a +50% bonus to all reputation earned.
SWTOR Galactic Reputation Adaptive Armor
Adaptive armor is armor that will change depending on what armor weight your character needs. It does not matter if your character normally wears light, medium, or heavy armor, all characters of the appropriate level can wear adaptive armor.
Many of the Reputation armors are only level 1 or level 10... which means you can wears it on Tython or Korriban! Simply buy it on your higher-level character and send it over in the mail. It can be sent to the opposite faction as well.
You will however have to find modifications to fill said armor up, as adaptive armor often doesn't have any stats in it. Learn more about mods and start customizing your gear.
SWTOR Galactic Reputation Legacy Armor
Legacy armor is highly desirable and useful in TOR, so make an attempt to gain at least one set. Legacy armor can be worn by any character in your legacy... no matter their faction. It is also not bound to the character you bought it on, but to all the characters in your legacy (you can't sell or trade it, but can mail it around to your other alt characters). Players often take advantage of this useful legacy armor in two different ways.
Transfer Mods Between Characters
The first is to transfer modifications from a highly-geared character with too many commendations to a less-geared character. They will acquire commendations on their highly-geared character, then spend them on items needed for their less-geared character. Then, they will pull the modifications out from those items (Armor, Mod, Enhancement, etc), place them in legacy gear, and send them to their less-geared character who may now use them.
Swap Armor Between Characters
The second is to share one set of modded legacy armor between two different characters who use the same type of stats. Often people use this specifically cross faction, for example someone who has an Agent Healer and a Smuggler Healer. These two types of characters require the exact same type of stats... so why not both share the same armor? Players will fill legacy armor up with the correct mods on one character, then send it back and forth in the mail to use on whatever character they are raiding or playing on at the time.
SWTOR Galactic Reputation Faction Armors
Each Faction has unique armors that can only be gained by earning reputation with them.
